Getting started
Is Inder App completely free? +
Yes. Core features — both discovery modes (Connect Mode and Swap Mode), smart interest matching, and real-time chat — are completely free. Matching will always be free. We may introduce optional premium features in the future, but the ability to find and connect with people will never go behind a paywall.
How do I create an Inder App account? +
Visit inderapp.com/app or download the app on your device. Sign up with your email, add a display name, bio, location, photos, and interest tags. The whole process takes under two minutes.
Which platforms can I use Inder App on? +
Inder App is available on Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, Linux, and as a Progressive Web App accessible from any browser. One account works across all platforms — your matches and chats sync in real time. See all download options.
Can I use Inder App in my country? +
Inder App is available worldwide. The app is currently in English and can be used from any country. Users from the US, UK, Australia, Canada, India, Nigeria, South Africa, Singapore, New Zealand, Ireland, and many other countries are already on the platform.
How matching works
What is the difference between Connect Mode and Swap Mode? +
Connect Mode shows you a full grid of profiles you can browse at your own pace. You read complete bios, scan interest tags, and send deliberate connection requests — no time pressure. Swap Mode presents full-screen profile cards one at a time. Tap Accept or Pass in a split second. When both users tap Accept, a real-time match notification fires instantly. You can switch between modes any time.
How does a match happen? +
A match happens when two people both express mutual interest. In Connect Mode, both users must send each other a connection request. In Swap Mode, both users must tap Accept on each other's cards. When a mutual match is detected, chat unlocks instantly and a "Chat Now" notification is sent to both users.
How does smart interest matching work? +
When you create your profile, you choose up to 20 interest tags — things like hiking, photography, jazz, travel, or cooking. In discovery, shared interests between you and other users are highlighted so you can instantly see what you have in common and know what to talk about first.
Who can send me a message first? +
Nobody can message you unless you have both matched. This mutual-match requirement means you will never receive an unsolicited message from a stranger. Once you match, either person can start the conversation.
Privacy & safety
Is my data safe on Inder App? +
Yes. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit using AES-256-GCM — the same standard used by banks worldwide. We never sell your data to advertisers or share it with third parties for marketing purposes. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I hide my profile without deleting my account? +
Yes. Go to Privacy Settings and toggle invisible mode off. You will disappear from all discovery results immediately. Your account, matches, and chat history are fully preserved and you can return to discovery any time.
How do I block or report someone? +
Tap the report or block button on any profile or within a chat. Reports are reviewed by a human member of our team — not an automated filter. You can also email support@inderapp.com to flag urgent safety concerns.
How do I delete my account? +
Open Settings in the app and choose Delete Account. All your data, matches, and messages will be permanently removed. If you need help, email support@inderapp.com and we will assist within 24 hours.
Account & technical
Do my matches sync across devices? +
Yes. Your account, matches, and conversations are synced in real time across all your devices. Start a chat on your phone and continue on your laptop without missing a message.
What is the minimum age to use Inder App? +
You must be 18 or older to use Inder App. Accounts found to belong to users under 18 will be removed.
How do I contact support? +
